NaNo

Just a quick note to say that I probably won't be around a lot for the month of November. I'm attempting to do NaNo. My wonderful CP Kelley Lynn and I are doing a collaborative project together. I'm super excited about it. It's a YA fantasy. But also super nervous, Kelley is a super quick writer. And well, I'm super slow. Her book took her ten days, mine a year. I don't want to slow her down. I'm afraid that I'm going to keep her 'waiting on me'. (Love ya Kelley!)

So, if you see me less than you already do, I'm sorry. I'm going to try to be around more in December!

Plus, I am hoping to have a great Author Interview lined up for November, one you're not going to wanna miss.

Are you doing NaNo? What are your fears?

Writing a book together? That will be a challenge. You can do it. Just type an hour longer if you have to.

It sounds like a great challenge to me! I've never written a full length novel with another person. Don't stress; just write and enjoy the ride! :) Good luck!

Ooh, a collab -- sounds like fun! I'm personally worried about running out of steam and hating my idea, but I guess that's all the more reason to push forward, eh? Good luck and have fun! :)

Good luck with NaNo! We'll catch you on the flip side. Can't wait for the author interview you hinted at.

We're gonna rock this thing girlie! Remember, don't think about it. Just write what comes to your head. The awesome part about a collab is you get IMMEDIATE feedback. And then we just keep plowing on :)

It's gonna be so fun!

Now, say it with me...

IT'S GONNA BE SO FUN! :)

I started my NaNo project at midnight tonight. I have absolutely no idea where the story's going and I couldn't be happier about it.

Best of luck to you!!

I'd like to do a collaborative work someday, but it won't be NaNo. I couldn't do NaNo. Good luck, though. You girls are terrific.

Krista- Thanks! And great advice!

Diana- Just push through. As my CP says edits are for making it look pretty, the first draft is for getting it out. Good luck!

Nicole- It's going to be a great one!

Richard- Thanks!

Good luck with NaNoWriMo! Looks intense especially if you're a more detailed writer. (That's how I like to think of it, at least, since I'm not super fast either.)

I admire people who can do collab projects. They are better than I. I'm too controlling. :P

Good luck! If you want to be buddies with me on the NaNo site, my username is brooke_the_writer.

I finished about a week early. I've been letting the dust settle and am going to jump into my editing/rewriting this weekend :) I wrote about 50,000 words of an ending lol. Guess I'll outline the next draft better :) Happy writing!
